    6:00pm - Yoga with Nicky, beginner/restorative round-body  (90min)

    Everyone’s body is different, some are strong, some are flexible, we are all different sizes, shapes and we all move differently. This class will emphasis on where to start and where to go. You have three instructors, with you, each with their own journeys and their own styles with a combined expertise of over 60 years of yoga. No matter where you’re at with this practice you will benefit. The class can be done by EVERYbody, you can modify the poses, by even just rocking if they feel too much for you. You could also follow along on a chair if you wish and do what you can, the most important thing to remember is that your doing, and it’s your body/your yoga!

    Tuesday

    This is a balanced class designed to help the practitioners with reducing aches and pains, de-stress, breath better, gain balance and strength, it can be done by EVERYbody, you can modify the poses, by even just rocking if they feel too much for you. You could also follow along on a chair if you wish. Remember the most important thing is that your doing, your body/your yoga! This is a really balanced class, using breath, asana (poses), meditation and sound.

    9:00am - Fascia Massage & Yoga with Nicky - aches & pains be gone, it’s like going for a deep tissue massage (60min)
    This class works like a massage for the whole body, it is a yoga therapy class that really gets into those tight achy spots. Helping to release tight sore muscles & fascia, works the lymphatic system, general stiffness and chronic pain. Great for EVERYbody from the active to the not so active, persons diagnosed with cancer, autoimmune diseases, chronic fatigue, diabetes and more. We work from head to toe and the class does cause sensation, but it works!– All levels
    Modifications may be necessary, ask Nicky which modifications will work for you. 

    Things you will need: Yoga Ball (Tennis or Squash Ball ok), Strap, Blanket big enough to make a roll with, bare wall, and a foam roller

    10:30am Ohana’s Stay on Your Feet, Chair & Balance Class with Nicky (60min)
    This class has been designed by Nicky Poulin, Yoga Instructor/Therapist/Teacher Trainer for EVERYbody. Created for seniors, those recovering from operations, mobility issues, and more! This class assists the practitioner to increase mobility, range of motion, strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and more. This class also includes mindfulness practices, breath work, brain body work and stress management techniques. Part of it’s goals are to decrease falls or fall prevention, promote healthy aging or for those that just haven’t been active in a while! There is something in this class that all will benefit from. All levels are welcome and the class really promoted DOING & Completing more that perfection! Go where you can, do what you can, and have fun while your doing it!

    Things you will need: Chair (without arms - kitchen chair or card table chair works well), bath towel, mat (for non-skid if you have one), yoga strap or rope or bathrobe tie if you have one, soft ball if you have one, 1inch dowel

    6:00pm - Yin & Yang Yoga - Nicky & Linda - diving deeper into your practice. (90min)
    It's Wed evening and your looking for something to get you over "hump day" and into the rest of your week. This class is great for everyBODY and anyone can participate. Starting out with breath work, and a slow yin yoga practice, then moves into a quicker yoga flow, then back to a slow yin practice. Focusing on full body, strength and restoration and will give you a really great nights sleep while also building strength & flexibility. We will finish the class with guided meditation and a little sounding at the end. A fabulous way to end your day and recharge for the rest of your week.

    April 16th  - 6:30pm – Restful Restorative with Linda, savour an hour to restore, relax & revive TGIF time to unwind (60 min)

    What to Expect: A practice to slow you down and open your body through passive stretching. Long holds that allow your muscles to relax deeply. The use of props, rather than your muscles, to support your body.

    What are the Benefits?
    • Enhances flexibility • Deeply relaxes the body. • Stills the mind • Improves capacity for healing • Balances nervous system • Boosts immune system • Develops qualities of compassion and understanding toward others and self • Enhances mood

    What Do You Need to Bring to Class?
    • You - in your most comfortable pyjamas or lounge wear • A quiet room/space where you will be undisturbed for an hour • 3 blankets • 2 bolsters (or one bolster and one large pillow) • Strap (or a belt or tie) • 2 blocks • 2 small pillows • Eye pillow (or facecloth)

    Optional for ambience:
    • Battery-operated candles, low lighting • Socks/sweater • Yoga mist

    8:30am Yin with Nicky - Softer Side of Yoga, Gentle Lower back & Hip Yin Yoga & meditation (60min)

    It's Saturday morning, wear your pyjamas and get ready to move slowly into your day. Starting out with breath work, and a slow yin yoga practice with long holds and breathwork. Focusing on lower backs and hips, and shoulders. This is a gentle class for everyone, we are not even getting off the floor. At the end we will finish guided meditation, some love and of course always a little sounding at the end. This is a great way to start your day.

  • Only ZOOM IN classes for now.
    • Beyond mandated requirements:
      • HEPA filters on our HVAC system by LifeBreath® remove 99.97% of airborne particles
      • Ultraviolet C lights to sanitize before and after classes, and in treatment room – proven to break down virus DNA, destroying it.
      • Identified locations on studio floor to ensure minimum 2-meter separation
      • All surfaces, and contact items sanitized
      • Bring your own mat and props if you have them.
    • Required protocols:
      • Masks must be worn in reception and when not on your mat. They can be removed when you are on your mat during class. We have a limited number of spaces available, so please book your times.
      • Hand sanitizer must be used when entering Ohana, or when using the washroom.
      • Capacity is limited to 14 (yes, we have measured it), so pre-register. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a spot.
